## help_outline Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use the Craft Planner to calculate crafting profits?
Add items via the search bar or use **Bulk Add** to add multiple at once. Set your buy and sell cities, choose price types (Quick Buy / Buy Order for materials, Quick Sell / Sell Order for products), and configure crafting parameters like number of runs, focus usage, journals, and return rates. The summary panel shows total profit, a shopping list, and capacity tracking. What is Resource Return Rate (RRR) and how does it affect crafting profit? Resource Return Rate is the percentage of materials you get back after crafting. A higher RRR means lower effective material cost and higher profit. RRR is affected by **city crafting bonuses** (24.81% vs 15.25% base), **Focus** (significantly boosts return rate), and the **Daily Bonus**. In the Craft Planner, use **Auto mode** to calculate RRR automatically based on your settings, or switch to **Manual mode** to set a custom value. What do "Quick Buy" and "Buy Order" mean for material prices? **Quick Buy** uses the lowest sell order price — you pay more but get materials instantly. **Buy Order** places a buy order at a lower price, but you wait for sellers to fill it. Both options fetch live market data based on the city you selected. If you have a better price from personal trades or negotiations, you can manually override any material's unit price in the materials list. What do "Quick Sell" and "Sell Order" mean for sell prices? **Quick Sell** sells immediately at the highest buy order price — faster but lower revenue. **Sell Order** lists your item at a higher sell order price, but you wait for a buyer. Both use live market data for the selected city. You can also manually set a custom sell price in the Sell Price field. How do I check prices across all cities? Click the **bar chart icon** next to any material or the sell price field to open the **Price Peek** popup. It shows live prices and trading volume for that item across every city. Use the **quality selector** to switch between Normal, Good, Outstanding, Excellent, and Masterpiece quality levels. To refresh prices, click the **refresh button** on a recipe card or use "Refresh All" in the toolbar. What is the Bulk Add feature? **Bulk Add** lets you add multiple items at once in two steps. First, select a **category, tier, and enchantment** to filter the items you want. Then, configure parameters for all selected items at once — including runs, station fee, cities, focus, journals, price types, and more. You get a **preview of expected profit** before confirming. Once added, items appear in the Craft Planner as individual recipes, identical to adding them one by one via the search bar. How do Crafting Journals affect profitability? Toggle **"Use Journals"** on a recipe to track journal filling. As you craft, empty journals (like Blacksmith or Fletcher journals) fill up with fame. Selling filled journals on the market provides extra income — acting as a **cashback** on your crafts. The summary panel separates **item profit** from **journal profit** so you can see exactly how much each contributes to your total earnings. Why should I craft in specific cities? Each royal city has **production bonuses** for certain item categories (e.g., swords in Caerleon, bows in Lymhurst). Crafting in a bonus city gives a **24.81% RRR** compared to the **15.25% base**. This difference compounds significantly over many crafts. Enable the **"City Bonus"** toggle in Craft Params to auto-detect the best city for your item category. How does Focus and the Destiny Board affect my crafting calculations? When you toggle **Focus** on a recipe, the Craft Planner uses your **Destiny Board spec levels** to calculate the exact Focus Efficiency for that item. Higher spec means **lower focus cost per craft**. If you've configured your Destiny Board nodes (via the "Edit Specs" link), the planner automatically applies your personal efficiency values. Without spec data, it uses base values. Focus significantly increases RRR, making it a key factor in profitability. What does the Capacity Management section do? The Capacity Management section in the summary panel tracks your **input weight** (materials) and **output weight** (crafted items) against your carrying capacity. Select your **bag** and **mount** from the dropdowns, and toggle **Pork Pie** for +30% capacity. The weight bars visually indicate if you're within limits (green), overloaded (yellow), or stopped (red). This helps you plan transport runs efficiently. How do I save and load crafting plans? **Supporters** can save plans server-side using the **Save** and **Load** buttons in the toolbar. All users benefit from **automatic session persistence** — your recipes and settings are saved in your browser and survive page refreshes. Use **Clear All** to start fresh, or load a previously saved plan from the dropdown.[Terms of Service](/terms)·[Privacy Policy](/privacy)·[Support](/support)© 2026 Albion Online Hub
